This year, Vroom will have been in existence for 60 years. We will reveal our rich history here regularly, using images from back then illustrated with, not least, facts, figures and anecdotes from our past.
The history of the Vroom family is deeply rooted in the rural area around Edam and Volendam, in the village of Middelie, and stretches back more than a hundred years. The beginnings of Vroom Funderingstechnieken formed a logical continuation of the cattle farm owned by grandfather Cornelis Vroom, which became involved in agricultural contract work at the end of the 1950s. Since 1962 the Vroom brothers and their successors have been making history in the field of foundations technology.
This year, we are celebrating our diamond jubilee. We wouldn’t have been able to achieve any of this without the commitment of our people and our associates. A festive milestone that we are going to be celebrating this weekend in the Kromhouthal in Amsterdam-Noord, with no expense spared!

And it’s nice to see that the business as a whole pulls together, especially during serious events.
RAMIN Staff Association
The staff association was founded on 28 November 1971 by Wim Schoenmaker, Jaap Laan, Dirk de Boer and Wim Schouten. The stated aim at its establishment is still the same, all these years later. The staff association focuses on activities outside working hours so as to boost social contact between the employees.
