Progress 380kV station

In Beverwijk, we continue to work hard on the application of more than 600 heavy prefab piles. A lot of the piles include an earthing system and pile head reinforcement baskets. The execution is going according to schedule and will be completed within two weeks. From mid-April, a start will be made with the insertion of steel tubular piles which will be driven using our mini foundation rigs with a limited working height as there are power cords present.

With the Randstad 380 kV project, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and TenneT provide the Randstad area with a necessary built-in-stages high-voltage connection system, divided over an already realized Zuidring (Wateringen-Bleijswijk) and Noordring between Beverwijk and Bleiswijk.

Ready for the future

The new connection system is of importance so that delivery can be guaranteed, also in the future, in the Randstad area, and to increase the transport capacity. Part of the new connection system is a transformer station in Vijfhuizen that transforms power from 380 kV to 150 kV for regional distribution which is necessary to guarantee the power network’s stability.
