In total 1300 vibrated piles were manufactured, with an average length of 25 metres and a diameter of 457 – 507 mm. During September and October 2021, 4 of our machines are at work here at the same time (see box).
The foundations for these wind turbines have a diameter of at most 22 metres and a height of 4 metres. They require foundation blocks of 870 m3.
Power for 400,000 households
Windplanblauw is part of a challenge to replace sources of power in the province of Flevoland. A total of 74 existing wind turbines are being replaced by 61 new, larger turbines of up to 249 metres high on behalf of SwifterwinT and Vattenfall. These new wind turbines, together, generate four times more energy than the current 74 wind turbines. The construction of the wind turbines is planned for 2022. The first of them is expected to start generating power in mid 2023. They will generate enough electricity for the total energy consumption of around 400,000 households.
