Distribution centre in Heinenoord

5282 Vibrated piles3 Machines

On behalf of Hercuton we are creating a new distribution centre for a logistics service provider, on an area measuring around 20,000 square metres on the Hoeksche Waard industrial park in Heinenoord. We are installing over 5200 displacing vibrated piles with the help of three pile drivers. The new distribution centre, with modern facilities, will be used as a bonded warehouse for goods subject to duty, and food products.

The distribution centre will have an operations hall, offices and outdoor area. The new distribution centre will be used as a bonded warehouse for goods subject to duty, and food products. This expansion will create at least 50 jobs.

Steel structure

The building will have 21 docks, and will be built using a steel structure with sandwich panels and, around the edges, a concrete base board. The design was made by Hercuton; what is immediately noticeable is that the distribution centre is situated in the centre of the design, with offices either side. The building is scheduled for completion on 1 March, next year.
