Guest house and swimming pool

56 piles700 m

In Amstelveen, a mansion has been expanded with a guest house and a swimming pool. For this purpose, we have applied 56 steel tubular piles. The piling activities have been carried out with a mini rig that has been placed in the back of the garden in order to insert the piles from there.

The piles consist of separate steel tubular segments that are being welled together on-site resulting into the pile. This causes the mini rig as well as the piles to be small and light. We have managed to carry out the activities in the back of the garden without causing any inconvenience.

The process

During the piling activities, the steel tubular piles are empty. Once all piles have been applied, they are all being cut at height simultaneously. Subsequently, the reinforcement baskets are being placed and the tubes are being filled with concrete so that a pile is being formed. After the hardening process of the piles that takes a few days, the contractor continues the application of the foundation construction.
