Minimal disruption with DPA screw piles

73 apartments118 piles

At Block F of Oostzijderpark in Zaandam, studios and two-room apartments are being developed for social rent. Additionally, the project will include 20 ‘Kamers met Kansen’ (Rooms with Opportunities).

For the foundation of this project, we have, in close consultation with the client, opted for the use of DPA screw piles. We decided to drill instead of pile-driving to minimize disturbance to the neighboring building owned by the Veiligheidsregio (Safety region). This drilling technique demonstrates our collective commitment to environmentally friendly construction. Even near sensitive areas, we can maintain tranquility and ensure a solid foundation. This proves that we have a suitable, tailored solution for every special location.

A fresh new start

These living spaces have been specifically designed for young people who, after a period of dependency or a complex home situation, are rebuilding their independence with additional support where necessary.

Sustainability is at the heart of Block F's design, with special attention given to shaping communal spaces that encourage interactions among residents. Features such as a rooftop terrace and a laundry room are strategically placed to foster a sense of community. The location of Block F is exceptionally well-chosen within Oostzijderpark, forming part of a future green belt that will add a new dimension to the urban development of the area.
