The Bannehoven newbuild development comprises 59 houses (blocks A, B and C) and 82 apartments (blocks D, E and F). The foundations for the entire development are in the hands of a single party: that is Vroom’s strength. That’s what more and more clients want: the simplicity of one-stop shopping.
After all, if Vroom manages the foundation work as a whole that means a smooth progression with plenty benefits. Actual construction time on site can be reduced considerably. Less personnel is needed: two people and a mobile crane, plus operator, is all that is needed for assembly.
John Lennon and Elvis Presley
The intersection of John Lennonstraat and Elvis Presleystraat will soon be the place to be in Zaandijk.
The proximity of the Westzaan polder, the open countryside, the views: the landscape of this area makes a natural impression, right into the heart of the development. Once completed, the residents will live somewhere surrounded by mature trees and various bodies of water. At the centre of the development are small-scale green courtyards. Nature zig-zags in an unbroken line among the dwellings, almost even entering the homes through the decking, balconies and verandahs. Cars are not part of the streetscape: there is covered parking for them, and they are diverted around the outside of the development. The neighbourhood is connected to its surroundings with cyclepaths and footpaths.
The ‘official’ ceremony, the driving of the first pile, is to be overseen by Councillor Wessel Breunesse. The Covid restrictions that were in force at the time meant that it was not possible to invite all buyers to attend the ceremony at short notice. However, when we reach the next milestone in the building process, the buyers will be invited to raise a glass with one another.
