In Gouda, we are working on the foundation of two new supermarkets. For this purpose, we are drilling 120 steel tubular piles until a depth of 24 m where the strong sand layer can be found. During the insertion process, we will add grout to the pile top so that the pile gets easier to insert resulting into sufficient bearing capacity.
On the site in Gouda Oost where De Springers sport venue used to be located, next to the two supermarkets houses are built as part of the construction plan.
The current Lidl supermarket on Dunantsingel and the C1000 supermarket on Rijkestraat will be shut down. On the new location, Lidl and Jumbo will share the building.
