Vibration-free foundation work in the heart of Sloterdijk

For the Velo residential building with indoor bicycle parking, we produced HEK screw piles with grout injection. Vibration-free, low-noise and sustainably founded, perfectly suited for this inner-city location with complex project conditions.

For this project, we executed HEK screw piles with grout injection using two foundation rigs, an in-situ, fully displacement pile. This pile type is produced vibration-free and low-noise, making it ideal for urban projects with limited space. During production, grout spoil is released and pumped via a hose pump to a separation unit, where sand is removed and cement water is reused. A circular process that reduces CO₂ emissions, nitrogen output and transport movements. The course of this project required close coordination and intensive collaboration between all parties involved. Through open communication and joint effort, we laid a strong foundation despite the complexity—both literally and figuratively. A fine example of building the city together.

Residential building Velo and bicycle parking for over 4,000 bikes

At Changiweg, Mataveriweg and Teleportboulevard, the Velo residential building is taking shape. It comprises 390 rental apartments, commercial spaces and an indoor bicycle parking facility for more than 4,000 bicycles. The location, part of the Sloterdijk Station Quarter, is undergoing a transformation into a vibrant mixed-use urban area. The building consists of four blocks surrounding a private courtyard and offers both social and mid-range rental apartments. The indoor bicycle parking facility will have a transparent and accessible design, spread over two floors. This project contributes to sustainable mobility and an accessible city.
