Lively island life: De Oosterlingen

140 apartments2 city houses250 piles

De Oosterlingen, seven unique buildings on the historic Oostenburg in Amsterdam. These homes combine urban living with nature for a sustainable and biodiverse future.

DPA screw piles were chosen for the foundation of De Oosterlingen. The screw piles contribute to a stable and sustainable structure, in line with the project’s ecological and future-oriented vision. In foundation work in urban areas, there are specific challenges and requirements to consider. Space is often limited, there are environmental restrictions, and the impact on the surroundings must be minimal.

Vroom has applied so-called relief filters and data loggers. With these, we monitor the water pressure in the construction pit during pile production and reduce risks of washout.

The supply of materials and equipment through the urban environment to the project is carefully prepared, taking into account all applicable regulations.

Equally important is the pleasant cooperation with both the preparation and execution team of Vink Bouw, ensuring a smooth workflow.

Green, greener, greenest

De Oosterlingen offers 141 diverse homes, from studios to penthouses. A courtyard is created in the middle of the buildings, and a spacious bicycle storage area is realized on the ground floor. Each building supports local wildlife with bee stones, sparrow houses, and green facades. This environmentally friendly approach enriches Amsterdam's biodiversity and provides sustainable, future-proof homes.
