Dynalogic, in collaboration with WDP, a partner in property for the logistics sector, is developing a completely new ‘built to suit’ distribution centre in Amsterdam. The building, which is not reliant on energy from gas, is exceptionally sustainable and, due to its strategic location, perfectly situated for optimum urban distribution in Amsterdam and for supplying customers in the province of Noord-Holland.
New Dynalogic distribution centre
We are making over 1200 piles for the vibrated-pile foundations of a new distribution centre for DynaGroup.
Choice of location
The distribution centre will be near to the intersection of the A5 and A10. This brownfield site on the Hornweg is being redeveloped into a ‘built to suit distribution centre’, with a footprint of around 14,000 m2. On handover, the property will be fully independent of the gas network and otherwise be compliant with all all the necessary TAPA regulations. In addition, solar panels will be installed on the roof.
The design, made by DENC, takes into account the required level of flexibility and room for growth in the future. The new distribution centre will be commissioned at the end of 2022 and, in the fullness of time, replace the existing site in Woerden.
It will become the base for urban distribution in Amsterdam and for supplying customers in the province of Noord-Holland. It will be one of Dynalogic's multi-network depots, with which it is able to serve both the 1-man and 2-man network. Stephan van Mulken, CEO of DynaGroup: “The central location and the opportunities that this site offers were decisive in the choice for this site. It fits in perfectly with our vision for the future and helps us to be able to grow in a sustainable way in years to come, so that we can keep on innovating.”
