Vroom Groep joins forces in Gouda

4 disciplines58 homes5 housing types

For the Parcour project in Gouda, commissioned by Gebroeders Blokland Samen In Ontwikkeling en Bouw, all disciplines of Vroom have been brought together for the first time on a single construction site. By combining foundation techniques, prefab concrete construction and traditional bespoke concrete work, Vroom offers an integrated solution. This collaboration ensures speed, quality and minimal inconvenience, advantages that count for every client.

The foundation of this new neighbourhood consists partly of DPA screw piles: a displacement, low-vibration system that produces hardly any drill spoil. Vroom Betonbouw handled the setting-out and installation of prefab beams, chambers and storage floors. The steel tubular piles were installed by VDB Funderingstechnieken using compact foundation rigs that are ideal for working in confined spaces. In addition, Hadek carried out part of the concrete work using traditional methods, combining on-site craftsmanship with Vroom’s technical expertise. This enables efficient construction in an area with complex urban lines and level differences.

Stylish with an eye on the future

Parcour in Gouda is transforming the former Stationsplein/Lombokplantsoen into a green, climate-adaptive neighbourhood for urban families, active seniors and empty nesters. The urban layout unfolds like sliding panels, inspired by shunting movements and the dynamics of the railway. The building blocks are positioned to offer views from the platforms of Gouda CS towards the central park, while vegetated screens help to reduce railway noise. The homes are oriented towards a green public space that encourages interaction and connection. A varied mix of housing types creates a diverse and social community. The architecture subtly refers to the railway heritage, with angled lines and rhythms that stem from the relief of the terrain. The result is a neighbourhood strongly connected to its surroundings and history.
