From 24 to 26 March, Vroom will be present as an exhibitor at the Annual Conference on Foundation Decarbonisation and Re-use at the Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam.
The construction sector, including foundation engineering, makes a significant contribution to CO₂ emissions. As sustainability becomes increasingly important, our profession must take proactive steps to reduce its ecological footprint. Decarbonisation is a key strategy in this respect. This includes, among other things, more efficient designs that reduce the use of concrete and steel, as well as the application of materials with a lower CO₂ impact. At the same time, the re-use of existing foundations must be given priority, as this is the most sustainable option.
Vroom supports this conference because we believe that the future of foundation engineering must be sustainable, responsible and technically robust. The transition towards re-use and decarbonisation requires knowledge sharing, collaboration and concrete solutions. This aligns seamlessly with our core values. Safety and wellbeing are always the starting point, with reliability and craftsmanship forming the foundation. With decisiveness and commitment, we actively invest in innovations that advance the sector. By supporting this conference, we contribute to practical, applicable solutions for a more sustainable construction sector, today and tomorrow.
