Pontkade is a development right at the centre of the NDSM site, adjacent to the ferry jetty. This is a mixed development with apartments for sale and rent with, at ground level, space for shops, creative activities, and catering and hospitality. A roof garden for residents will be created at the top of the building, which will allow for amazing views across the docks, the IJ and the rest of Amsterdam. The Pontkade development offers around 250 apartments for sale and rent at a range of prices and sizes, including lofts and penthouses.

A new city is rising on the site of the former NDSM docks. A place where, once, giant tankers were launched on the IJ and artists were able to find freedom. 252 apartments are to be built on Block 9, which is one section of the entire complex on which building will be carried out in stages. 420 vibrated piles and 215 VGS piles will be installed as a sturdy foundation for this high-rise block.
