During the preliminary phase, Vroom was closely involved in analysing potential risks of necking or washout of piles, together with Pieters Bouwtechniek and at the client’s request. Instead of a combined element, the client opted for an optimised foundation solution. All risks were therefore carefully identified and the corresponding control measures were extensively discussed. During this process, multiple execution scenarios were prepared in case necking or washout were to occur. Thanks to this thorough approach and the application of the appropriate execution methodology, Vroom was able to realise high-quality DPA screw piles.
