At the moment work is being carried out by a construction workforce of just under 200 and a logistics team of around 60, but they will be joined by another hundred or so workers in the near future. In addition, at peak times they regularly call up workers on fixed-term contracts and young people, almost exclusively from the surrounding area.
A great hub, a hotspot
It lies between cities such as Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague; the most densely-populated distribution zone in Zuid-Holland, with good road connections to customers. Sligro suppliers drive day and night, uninterrupted, but at Sligro itself the first runs start between four and five in the morning.
