Ringerskwartier offers 273 luxury apartments and three parking levels along the Alkmaars Kanaal. The transformed Ringers factory and modern apartment buildings combine historical charm with contemporary luxury. The project consists of three towers with owner-occupied apartments, connected by a three-story parking garage and a tower with rental apartments. The towers vary in height, from 7 to 15 floors. Each apartment is sustainable, equipped with its own outdoor space, and offers a beautiful view of the old city center and beyond.
Modern living in Alkmaar with historical character
The new Ringerskwartier in Alkmaar, where history and modernity meet along the Noord-Hollands Kanaal.
Precise collaboration
Vroom Funderingstechnieken works closely with the client in the production of nearly 900 piles for the foundation of this project. This collaboration began at the design stage of the foundation plan. Vroom worked together with Pieters Bouwtechniek from Amsterdam to optimize this plan. An optimal plan was developed by finding the best balance between the foundation piles and the concrete structure that will support the towers. The piles are placed with their bases in the second (deeper) sand layer, which is more load-bearing than the first sand layer.
Using two foundation machines and the vibration-free DPA system, we ensure a noise-friendly and precise execution. As the soil is sandy and needs to be displaced, this involves 'heavy' screw work. By deploying two foundation machines, the execution time is shortened. These are large foundation machines, visible from afar in Alkmaar. Once again, there is a pleasant collaboration between Vroom and three contractors from the Ringerskwartierbouw construction combination: Tervoort Egmond, Bouwbedrijf Van der Gragt, and SBB Ontwikkelen en Bouwen.
