Vroom Funderingstechnieken is providing the HEK-combi screw piles for this project, which are ideal for underground construction in urban environments. These piles are perfect for projects requiring minimal soil displacement and vibration-free construction. The HEK-combi screw pile, equipped with a prefabricated concrete element made of pre-stressed concrete, offers both compressive and tensile load capacity. The use of a steel casing ensures the screw piles are installed effectively and efficiently, providing a sustainable and stable foundation. This contributes to the quality and sustainability of the Up North project.
Procurement for this work began in early March, and the work started at the end of May. In the meantime, the octicon (8-sided prefab elements) were produced. Despite this being a project under significant scheduling pressure, both the client and Vroom have made every effort to meet the deadlines. As a result, we were able to start as planned. The cooperation has gone as it should, and compliments to all involved.
