Smart solution on a confined construction site

34 piles11 apartments

For this project, which offered limited working space, we collaborated with Beemsterbouwers to deliver a safe and efficient foundation solution. Through a smart combination of techniques and supporting measures, we made it possible to work smoothly and effectively, even under challenging site conditions.

During the preparatory phase, we jointly selected a DPA piling system together with Beemsterbouwers. This foundation method was well suited to both the technical requirements and the specific conditions of the construction site. The available space within the excavation was limited, making the positioning of equipment particularly challenging. This required thorough preparation and a carefully considered, safe execution strategy.

Despite these confined conditions, we successfully positioned our piling rig in a stable manner and carried out the works in a controlled and efficient way. In close cooperation with Beemsterbouwers, we developed a practical solution to achieve this. By installing additional steel road plates alongside the crane mats, we created sufficient bearing capacity and working space for our equipment. Thanks to this collaborative approach, the works could be executed safely and efficiently.

This project is an excellent example of how collaboration, craftsmanship and a solution-oriented mindset lead to a successful outcome, even under demanding circumstances.

Former village pub

At the site on Oosteinde in Oosthuizen, where a café-community centre and snack bar were previously located, a new residential building comprising 11 owner-occupied apartments is being developed. The project focuses on creating affordable housing, particularly for first-time buyers entering the housing market. The building consists of multiple storeys and has been designed with careful consideration for the scale, appearance and character of the village. The architecture complements the existing surroundings, allowing the development to blend naturally into the village streetscape.
