In addition to a bustling urban feel, the architects have also been able to give the development an attractive ‘small-town’ atmosphere. The area has been designed with a nod to the old country estate retreats in the area. In that respect, the town centre is the country house, as it were, and De Hoven, which surrounds the development, are the grounds.

12 waterside dwellings are being built at the edge of a lake in Vleuten town centre. The dwellings face out onto street level with an elevated terrace at the back, just above water level. Pre-fab foundations are ideal for building in water or at the water’s edge. The foundations were laid in just one long day.
