Sustainable living with a solid foundation in Haarlem

324 piles96 apartments

On Stephensonstraat in Haarlem, a modern residential and retail complex is being built with 96 energy-efficient apartments. For the foundation, vibration-free DPA screw piles were chosen, providing a stable and durable base without causing disturbance to the surroundings.

For the foundation of this project, the vibration-free and soil-displacing DPA screw pile system was selected. This system minimises the amount of displaced soil, prevents noise nuisance and is ideally suited for urban construction sites. The pile length is adapted to the local soil conditions and can accommodate both tensile and compressive loads. In addition, full-length reinforcement is possible, ensuring extra stability. Thanks to these features, the DPA system offers a sustainable and efficient alternative to traditional foundation methods, with minimal disturbance to the surroundings and a clean construction site.

Living and shopping in Haarlem South-West

The new development comprises 96 modern apartments, including 68 social rental apartments, 28 private sector rental apartments and two private sector owner-occupied townhouses. On the ground floor, 1,725 m² of retail and hospitality space will be created, offering residents every convenience within easy reach. In addition, an underground car park with 83 spaces provides ample parking facilities. This project makes a significant contribution to the urban renewal of Haarlem South-West and creates a sustainable, future-proof living environment.
