At Honderdland in Maasdijk, we manufacture vibro piles for the foundation of three new business premises.

Upon the client’s request, a geotechnical calculation was initially conducted for the production of this piling system at this location. This was done based on the provided soil borings. The vibro piles for the three locations vary in length between 23 and 25 meters and in shaft diameter between 273 and 356 millimeters.

Vroom Funderingstechnieken offers the utilization of various hydraulically controlled foundation machines for the production of vibro piles with pile lengths up to a maximum of 44 meters. Characteristics of the vibro piles:

The pile head is poured up to the working level and can be finished above the working level at a specified height.
Pile length can be adjusted directly based on ground conditions; the driving depth is flexible.

Modifications in pile specifications are possible right up to the start of the work.
Inclinations: backward up to a maximum of 3:1 to 4:1; forward up to a maximum of 4:1 to 10:1.

History

Honderdland is a neighborhood and polder in Maasdijk, in the province of Zuid-Holland. Originally, it was an agricultural area, but since the early twenty-first century, it has transformed into an industrial estate. By 2023, the industrial estate boasts over 70 newly established businesses.

The Honderdland area was originally outside the first Maasdijk. This dike, constructed in the twelfth century, provided protection to the land behind it against the Maas River and extended from Maasland towards Naaldwijk. Beyond this dike, the Maas River caused land accretion through the deposition of sand and clay. In the first half of the thirteenth century, the current Maasdijk was constructed further from the original Maasdijk, placing Honderdland within the reclaimed land. Discoveries from the tenth to twelfth centuries indicated that the area was inhabited prior to reclamation.
