Given the ground structure on site and the nature of the buildings, this project is highly suited to pile-based foundations. A report recommended foundations with vibrated piles and developed plans for this in greater detail. The recommendation for vibrated piles is due, on the one hand, to the depth of the load-bearing foundation strata (hence the length of the piles), and on the other hand due to the potential flexibility in pile length.
The flexibility in pile length during the implementation phase is one of the advantages of using vibrated piles, as the soil structure is relatively heterogeneous, so the pile lengths may vary locally quite substantially.
