For the “The Dock” project in the new Aan het IJ district, we are constructing foundations using DPA-combi screw piles. Through close collaboration with all stakeholders, we succeed in meeting the strict inner-city requirements set for this work.

The DPA-combi screw pile provides a sustainable foundation solution for densely built areas with limited space. The system uses a prefabricated pile core combined with a soil-displacement screw technique, minimizing vibrations and protecting surrounding buildings from potential settlement damage. This pile type applies a carefully measured amount of structural grout, preventing grout spoil and ensuring a clean construction site. This method is particularly well-suited for urban projects, such as those in Amsterdam, where stringent regulations and permit requirements apply. With thorough preparation, we have effectively and safely utilized narrow streets for the transport and installation of our foundation equipment.
