For the third and final phase of Tuinen van Luna, Vroom was involved in the project from an early stage. This has enabled us to work together with HSB Bouw to design an optimal foundation. The aim was to achieve a balance between piling work, precast foundation beams and precast lay-down areas. This not only resulted in a reduction in material use but also in a decrease in CO2 emissions during the construction of the homes.
During construction, we work on one and a half shell structures per day. On average, we lay foundations for more than 20 homes within 15 working days. The production of the precast foundation elements takes place in the same region, which also minimises emissions from the transport of construction materials.
