In recent years, there has been significant expansion at Kwadijkerpark: the healthcare institution is undertaking considerable new construction. This time, three new buildings are being positioned on Flevostraat and at Noordpunt. Time for us to drive 640 piles into the ground.

In the environs of Biddinghuizen, we are making the foundations for 45 wind turbines with vibrated piles. The fact that the foundations for a 'modern-day windmill’ are so important is pretty self-explanatory. Nonetheless, we'd like to explain what the reason for this is, and what goes into the whole process.

At one of the best sites for wind power in the Netherlands, Windpark Gooyum-Houw and Vattenfall are developing “Windpark Nij Hiddum-Houw”. Some of the sixteen old wind turbines that stood in the area have been removed and will be replaced by more powerful ones.

On 11 June 2021, the first vibrated pile went into the ground for the foundations of 37 wind turbines for the Windplanblauw project in the north-western corner of Flevoland.

Near Stadskanaal a new wind farm, with 44 wind turbines, is being created. For this project, Vroom made the foundations with vibrated piles and DPA_PLUS screw piles.

Earlier this year a CX700 GLS piling rig was stood installing DPA-PLUS screw piles and, more recently, its big brother, the CX900 GLS has been installing vibrated piles. 7 wind turbines will be installed on the foundations.

We have installed 200 vibrated piles with our largest pile-driving rig, the CX1100 GLS. The foundations we have laid will support five large, modern wind turbines that will supply 20,000 households with 'green’ energy. The wonderful landscape and the almost endless panorama make for great photos.

On the Zeedijk in Etten-Leur work is progressing on the construction of three wind turbines. We are installing the foundations on behalf of H4A Windengergie.

Close to the NUON facility we are currently installing vibrated piles for a tank pit. We have to make sure there are proper foundations by driving no fewer than 800 piles into the ground. On the photos you can see our new JCB shovel loader.

On Infra, Milieu en Sloopbedrijf Sagro’site, we have been working on the foundation for windmills. The three windmills on Borselle’s harbour site come with an axis height of 64 m and a rotor diameter of 71 m, and will be built by Enercon.

Three windmills producing sufficient green energy for all households in Vianen is what the Autena windmill park will ensure for which 106 foundation piles will be necessary, to be applied by Vroom.

For the German windmill constructor Enercon, Vroom is applying foundation piles for two windmills. Each windmill will be supported by 24 piles.
